We took some furniture up to store in one bedroom and made some decisions about ceiling, flooring, and cabinets. Ed, the drywall man, does a terrific job. He gave us some sturgeon fish he caught up north. We also put up our sign at the beginning of our driveway so you can find us when you come to visit.

The following photos were taken in mid-December, 2006. We are heading north soon with a load of furniture for the house. The heat is on low, the water is connected, the toilets work and ALL we need to make it a rough camping site is to connect a sink and water heater and set up a Coleman stove! But that will wait for the spring. This time we'll take it very easy and stay with our good and hospitable neighbors, Ray and Carol Maurer.

While we are there, however, we'll make a decision on our choice of wood for the floors and for the ceilings in the big room, loft, master bedroom and bath. Look for a new post after our return.

Mid-December , 2006

This is the kitchen, the sink will be under the windows, to the left is the pantry door, to the right is the slider door to the screened in porch. The pink insulation on the ceiling will be covered with cedar.
