One photo is the front door, and the other is the east side. The decking lumber will go on in the spring, or when ever it stops raining for a while.

We've decided to paint the house a Benjamin Moore stain in a dark olive green tone. See the same color on a house on Cape Cod that we photographed when we were there in October.

November 26, 2006

Our river home is now weather tight. The framing is complete, doors and windows are in, the roof is on, and the siding is on. We arrived at this point just in time as November has been very wet in the Pacific northwest. Next is to do inside insulation and drywall, along with screens on the porch and a garage door. At that point the contractor's work is done and Jon and Chris take over to do the rest of the interior work.
